A new part of the Baptist Health System opened in January of 1999. This long-awaited, state-of-the-art hospital has a new Kendall VanSant Bronze.
The piece is 10 feet by 2 feet and 9 feet tall. Titled "Everglades Sunset", it features three 48 - 52" tall herons, a sea gull flying overhead, many mangroves, numbers of fish species and even a Key Largo wood rat. This is a complete Everglades environment, all in bronze, mounted on 3,000 pounds of Keystone coral. This sculpture is permanently on display, in the new lobby, for all to enjoy.
